The eagle-eyed amongst you will have noticed that I have recently re-branded my wedding photojournalism business to Lehane Wedding Photojournalism. Over time the old Daz Shoots Weddings branding will be replaced. The website URL will become http://www.lehanewedding.photos in the next few days (it may not currently work whilst WordPress are mapping it over) although the old http://www.dazshootsweddings.co.uk will continue to work and still link here until the end of 2016.
So why the change?
To be honest, I’ve been thinking about changing it for a while now. Whilst Daz Shoots Weddings has served me well, particularly in that people tend to remember it, I didn’t feel it was properly reflecting the quality of my wedding photojournalism or the professionalism of my approach. I believe Lehane Wedding Photojournalism is clear as to what I do and, as someone recently said, “you have a cool surname, you should use it in your business.”
The change to Lehane Wedding Photojournalism also allowed me the opportunity to introduce a new business logo. I had wanted a more graphic logo, in a simple no-nonsense black & white style – which reflects my no-nonsense approach and passion for timeless black & white wedding photography. Additionally, I wanted something that reflected the golden age of photojournalism and evoked a feeling of some the old masters like Henri Cartier-Bresson, Weegee, Robert Doisneau, Robert Capa and others from that evocative era of the 1940s & 1950s. I think the new logo does that.
So, welcome to Lehane Wedding Photojournalism. Whilst the business name and branding has changed you can still expect my natural, storytelling approach to wedding photography that focuses on the real moments, genuine emotions and true stories of your wedding day.
